New Cluster this week

We will start Cluster 5 this week. It is over measurement: using the metric and standard system. So dust off those meter sticks.

It will be important for kids to be able to know what each unit is used for and for what type of measurement and to have an idea of what each unit is like (ie a big paper clip is about a gram). We will cover this topic for 20 school days. It is one of the tougher clusters.

Shopping Project

The 5th grade math class is going to be doing a shopping project and we need store ads for prices. We will use the ads to practice adding decimals. Please send any ads that you are not going to need to school with your child. Thanks for the support.
